From Jayski's...

JR Motorsports #88 hauler was broken into and robbed during the Race at ORP this past weekend. Among the missing items: 3 driver uniforms, 1 pair of driver shoes, Phone, Brad Keselowski's hardcard and passpost and over $600 cash from various team members wallets. Anyone with info relating to this matter or its prosecution will be rewarded appropriately.(7-28-2008)

I hope they find them.

June 23, there was two trucks stolen out of our local tracks parking lot during the race. Both were Chevy Silverado's.

What shocks me is that people can even get into the area the haulers are at. Should be team members and media only, no fans. And security 24/7 from hauler arrival to hauler leaving to keep it that way.

That said, haulers probably aren't too hard to open. Usually a modified crows foot or pry bar with a big strong guy will blast the latch locks right off. Bolt cutters get rid of the outer pad locks. IIRC, the side doors overlap the body. They need to be made to be flush with it, where a prybar can't simply go "plink" and pop it open.

I thought someone was there all the time, like the driver:confused:

The driver is usually assisting the pit crew in practice and at the race.

The drive usually stays at a hotel once he arrives at the track.

Sounds like some crummy security to me from the track people.

Hmmmm, I think we have our first suspect:cool:

What is this world coming to? Is Zippy trying to raise the money to buy himself out of JGR?

Or Does Mikey still owe the sheriff's dept some cash for letting him off the hook over that charge?

Stay tuned for the latest developments

You would figure with all the money involved someone would have a state-of-the-art alarm system with interior motion sensors that, when activated, would set off a pager on one or more of the team members...
