So far in the 2003 Cup season, 9 different drivers have won the 9 races run. The drivers are: Michael Waltrip, Dale Jarrett, Matt Kenseth, Bobby Labonte, Ricky Craven, Kurt Busch, Ryan Newman, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jeff Gordon. The current 'modern-era' [1972-present] is 10 drivers in 10 races, done in 2000. The 10 drivers who won the first 10 races in 2000: Dale Jarrett, Bobby Labonte, Jeff Burton, Dale Earnhardt, Ward Burton, Rusty Wallace, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Mark Martin, Jeff Gordon and Jeremy Mayfield. That record is for the start of a season. A different driver won 13 races in a row back in 1961 [not to start the season]. The "modern-era" record is 11 different winners in a row in 1985 [not to start the season].

Will it continue after California?

yup I reckon Jimmie Johnson or Tony Stewart will end up with a win this come week at California I seem to remember them both doing good there last year

Well Jimmie Johnson won there last year, but Tony finished 29th and didn't even lead a lap.

1 #48 Jimmie Johnson* Chevrolet Lowe's 180/5 250 Running $176,750 ...
29 #20 Tony Stewart Pontiac Home Depot 76/0 247 Running $102,003

I will say yes that we will have the 10th winner at Fontana.
Jimmie might have thebest shot at it but I would not be surprised if its someone no one would think of.

I'd say a new winner is pretty likely. Although Jeff is a pretty strong candidate to go back to back. I think Mark Martin or Rusty Wallace are way overdue and could break out at California.

I'm think Johnson is good pick to win next weekend or possibly Stewart. Both are definitely due for a win this season.

Of those who have already won this season I'd look for Gordon or Labonte to be contenders. California will be a downforce track and so far this year, Chevy has seemed to lead the way at these tracks.

If I had to bet, I'd pick Stewart.
