At the conclusion of the Nationwide race NASCAR said they are confiscating 9 engines from tonights race and taking them to the dyno in an effort to level the playing field. I'm curious to see what the results are and if the fans will see the actual numbers. It's obvious, from watching this season's races and from listening to the other drivers, that Toyota has some kind of horsepower advantage. I wonder if NASCAR will take horsepower away from Toyota or allow Ford, Chevy and Dodge some additional modifications that will produce more horsepower. I know that Dodge is currently working on their next generation engine and are planning it's debut toward the end of the season.
It will be interesting to see if NASCAR runs the same kind of horsepower comparisons on the Cup engines.

If I recall correctly NASCAR APPROVED this engine. Now the crying starts because 1 driver is kicking a$$.... This is the same engine that was used last year...No crying because noone was winning....

Bucky, in the past NASCAR has done the same thing. When Chevy complained that the Fords had a better head design, that produced more horsepower, NASCAR approved the SB2 for Chevrolet (in 1996). I think that when Toyota initially submitted their V8 for approval from NASCAR, they may not have accurately revealed the actual horsepower numbers.

NASCAR has made a "generic" race car with the CoT. So, maybe they will design their own NASCAR engine to give "parity" to this sport.... just like the IROC cars.

Nothing new here everytime a brand starts to dominate NASCAR comes in and trys to level the playing field.

You just can't beat that "straight-line" handling :p....or in layman's terms "goes faster"...

This is the part no one seems to understand, there is only one team kicking butt, there are lots of Toyota teams, hence, must have to ban the team!! LOL Duane
