A new hero for me

I knew that Bud Moore served during WW II, but I didn't know his history until I just finished watching his bio on Speed. Five Purple Hearts and two Bronze Stars. I wonder if we will ever again have anyone in the entertainment/sports world that will achieve what many of that genre did int he big one.

I watched that too Buck and was amazingly impressed. The guy captured a Nazi outpost full of officers for cryin outloud. Great Man he is. I miss him in the sport.

One of the first NASCAR associated things I saw after I moved here to Winston Salem was a dually that had Bud Moore Racing on the side. Don't know if Bud himself was driving, but then again...
