Hello...
Just a note to let you know David's dad passed away this morning before the ambulance could pick him up and bring him home. We had worked so hard getting the room ready and hospice had everything ready to deliver and grandpa just couldn't make it home.
Although you know and think you are prepared I don't believe anyone really is ready to lose a loved one. David has been a tower of strength for his mom and his little sister these last four days.....going three nights with little sleep but he still goes on and on..(just like the rabbit)....my husband is a rock, Bless his heart!
Pastor Vern came every day to prayer with Joe and family and we feel a peace that Joe accepted the Lord as his Savior and now is at his real home with no pain and only true happiness.
David and I now faced the very difficult time in telling Kevin....he loved his grandpa Smith and this will be so hard for him to deal with....I asked for continued prayer for our son and our wonderful daughter who will be picking him up and breaking the news to him.
Thank you all for caring and your prayers....Carolyn and Brenda, please let our racing family know how much I appreciated their kind thoughts and prayers, the boards are so very special and I appreciate every single person within our Nascar family.
