A few drivers will be switching rides this weekend for the EA Sports 500. Here is the list so far.

23 - Scott Wimmer will be replacing Kenny Wallace because Wallace already committed to Andy Petree for this race.

33 - Kenny Wallace will be driving this car in a one race deal.

42 - Jammie McMurray will be making his Winston Cup debut driving for Melling.

55 - Ron Hornaday will be replacing Greg Biffle because Biffle has a Busch commitment.

83 - Kerry Earnhardt will be trying to make the race with his Busch team (in a DEI prepared car).

Isn't the Busch series off this week? Biffle needs to be careful he doesn't lose his rookie status for next year...

The Busch series is off this weekend. My guess is Jack Roush does not want Biffle to get hurt in the big one and lose the Busch championship due to an injure.

42 - Jammie McMurray will be making his Winston Cup debut driving for Melling.

Lat night on NASCAR Inside Winston Cup, Jamie was surprised to hear he was going to 'dega. I wonder if he was just playing dumb, or if someone forgot to tell the driver?

Besides the risk of injury, Biffle can only run 7 races and stay eligible for ROTY next year.

nascarwoman, I heard that, too. LOL
But like Kenny said, he didn't neet to know until Thursday. hehehe

Nice to see Wimmer in the race. I like him Busch, and was excited when he got his first win at Dover. I know he has been in a handful of Cup races this year already, hopefully this will change in a year or two and either Siemens or someone else can commit fulltime to a ride for him in Cup.

Don't forget Geoffrey Bodine in the 09, since he seems to like all the restrictor plate races.

And why is Kerry trying?? He just had his best ever finish in the Busch race last weekend.
I wish him well, but DEGA??

I said he was trying to make it in the race at Dega because if he doesn't make it in on Speed he is going home since he is driving with a new team with no owner points.

This has been planned since before his finish last weekend. I don't why DEGA either, it just is.

They planned Dega because Kerry's team is going to have a DEI prepared car for the race and you know how strong they are at Dega. I think they are actually using the same car that Kenny Wallace used at Dega in the spring race.

If that is the case, I wouldn't at all be surprised if he makes the race.

I have a new one to add to the one race silly season.

49 - Stacy Compton will be driving the car this weekend.

NASCAR.com has kevin lepage in the 49 car for this weekend.

Also the #71 car will have Jay Sauter (not Tim)behind the wheel and Realtree as the sponsor, just for Dega.

Thatsracin' has the Compton in the 49 story if ya wanna check it out. Stupid comment about Stacy's hometown...I hope they come up with some better way to pick their driver in the future!

I got two more to add to the list.

51 - Tim Fedewa will be driving the Ware Racing Dodge.
89 - Morgan Shepherd will at this point be bringing his team to Dega.

I just think that these teams that are scraping for money to race shouldn't go to Talladega or Daytona. After the race their car will be a pile of twisted metal. Their car would probably me less damaged at Bristol or Martinsville.

It looks like I'm going to have to do more changes to the one race silly season.

40 - Jammie McMurray will now be driving Sterling Marlin's car with Sterling being out with a neck/back injury. I guess no one will be driving the 42 Melling car now.

McMurray just got really good equipment for the rest of the season. Hopefully he can take advantage of it.

Well atleast we now he will make all 7 races since the team is 5 in owner points.

In what has become a one race silly season already has just got another driver change.

92 - Robert Pressley will be replacing Jamie in the Melling owned Dodge and the number will change from 42 to 92.

I have a new updare.

51 - Morgan Shephard will be driving the Ware Dodge instead of his own car (89 Ford)
