Not to be in competition with the sticky thread, I just wanted to ask one question that I learned the answer to this weekend. Here it is.

Most of us know that Richard Petty won 200 races and his 200th win was at Daytona with President Reagan in attendance. My question is this...where did he win his 100th win?

Anyone?

Answer tomorrow evening unless someone comes up with it first.

Yep, he won in a '69 Ford Torino at Bowman Gray Stadium (where I was last night) a 1/4 mile totally flat track.

Oh, and btw, it was a Myers boy who won the feature 200 lap race last night too. He is the grandson of one of those Myers brothers, and a cousin to Danny Chocolate Myers. Burt Myers won from the pole, going away at the end with only 7 cylinders.

Ok, since Bowman is your home track, who won the 1st Myers Brothers race? Hint, 1962.

Don't know, but the list of winners there is like a who's who in NASCAR. I've only been here just over 11 years and it took me a few years to get the wife to go to the races, so I don't have a long history of attending those races, maybe only seven years or so...no, maybe eight. Anyway, now that I've gotten her to go, she'd go without me if I had something else to do during the races. :)
