I am getting soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
excited, I can hardly wait!!!!!

Hoping to see several nice peeps this weekend!!!!!!!!!

De_W2, Cutiepie, Maybe W.O.P., Joanie, and even maybe a couple more.

They started spraying all around Fontana and the Speedway today,
to stop the West Nile Mosquito from ruining anyone's weekend.
I thought that was a great idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Off we goooooooooooooooo, to Fontana!!!!!!! Yoweeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!

Cutie and I will be there with bells.........bringing Cutie's daughter with us too!! Her first Cup race ever!! I don't think she knows just how it's going to be when those cars come by us at 170 and accererating!! :XXROFL: When she feels the blast of air from them, smells the rubber and gasoline, and hears that roar she'll see!! :D :D

We are in the identical seats as we were in the Spring..........we have pit passes so we may not hang out in the shade where they sell those frozen lemonades so much, but we will catch up with you and Eagle!! :D
 
Cutie and Dragonlady and DE, I hope you guys have a Blast this Weekend and Take lots of Pics to bring back and Show us :D I'm just now putting my Scanner and Racing stuff up from Bristol. Have Fun :cheers:

We got one of those DV camcorders (Sony HC40) a couple weeks ago. It takes pretty good stills at about 1.0 megapixels. Haven't tried too much video yet.....just the normal goofing around stuff to get the hang of it..........but from what I've done, it does everything it's advertised to do!! :) It says somewhere in the manual that you can capture stills from the video during playback. Not too sure what the resolution would be but it does give a backup for some pictures that I might miss because I hit the button too late (still haven't figured out how anyone gets pictures of those cars at speed when they pass by........I miss 'em everytime!!) :D Anyway, between the Sony Handycam and the Kodiak digital and any cam Cutie or Kimberly brings we should get at least a couple of reasonable pictures!!

But I ain't watching the race through a lens guys.........sorry!! :)
 
I hope you all have a great time. Nothing like seeing a Cup race live. Especially if you can get up close. The smells, the excitement, getting pelted with rubber fragments as the cars go roaring by...it doesn't get much better than that. :)

I have been toying with the idea of catching the fall race at Martinsville again this year. I've been leaning against it, but you guys are making my decision more difficult. B)
 
How hot is going to be out there this weekend? Should be better when the sun goes down. I know Ya'll will have fun, and remeber your H2o this trip. :)
 
Fontana is normally about 95 to 100 this time of the year.....but, it's hasn't been quite normal really! Temps have been mostly below normal all summer.......about 5 degrees or so!! Still pretty hot though!! :( We'll be sure to drink plenty of water!! And, pack a sweat shirt too...........it gets chilly after the sun goes down!! :)
