Interesting...

I like Johnny. It would be a good opportunity for him....IF Morgan-Mcclure can get their act together.Should be interesting to see what unfolds.

Hope it's true...Johhny is a good driver & another WI driver to boot! :D I was at Chicagoland when he won his 1st Busch race & will be there again this year.

I guess they offered the ride to Bobby Hamilton Jr., but he turned it down. But I haven't seen who is going to be in the car at Daytona?

Little Hamilton turned it down???Very interesting...wonder what he's holding out for?

And you are right: from Marcis and Trickle to Kulwicki and Kenseth,WI has produced a lot of the legendary drivers in stock car racing.Wish Al. could get some more talent going.Crawford and T.Gordon are our best hope.

Bobby Jr. said he wanted to stay focused on his Busch team.

I think Morgan McClure is all finished, if Sauter takes this job he'll run his career in the ground. With the hype he had coming in he has not impressed me at all. From what I saw last year Tim is the most talented of the Sauters, someone needs to give him a good ride. Robby Gordon runs horrible in the #4 car, he gets fired, he goes over to the #31 wins a race and would have also won Watkins Glen if not for a gearbox problem. Hamilton Jr. knew if he'd taken that job he could jepordiaze his chances of getting a good cup ride, as he's a much better driver than Sauter, hopefully Sauter is smart enough to make the same decision.

Did you expect Johnny to win the Busch championship last year? He did it his rookie season in ASA, but Busch is a step up. 15th & one win for a rookie in Busch is pretty darn good if you ask me. This year he is in 9th in points driving in two different cars. Pretty good if you ask me. He would have had a 2nd place at Nashville if he wouldn't have got 'punted' by David Stremme in the #1 car.

I think it's a one race deal at Chicago for Johnny in the #4.

With the hype he came in with, I expected a Steve Park or Greg Biffle performance, no I didn't expect him to win the championship, but he was more hyped more coming in than any other driver since Dale Jr. Considering he was hyped so much Johnny was being considered for the #31 cup ride without any Busch expierence. 9th isn't bad but he hasn't won yet, and last year was a strategy win, doesn't count much to me, other than that he was never up front at the end. For a while Jay was performing better than Johnny!
