Just came in from my third time slowblowing the driveway and sidewalks! Stuff is really coming down!

We've already got 9 inches, and the blizzard is supposed to start at in two hours from now.

Just talked to my sister in Palmer, she said the snow is really heavy .....man i wish i was back home ...i love that ....!! Send some out here to CO. we have a drought 55 right now and sunny been wearing shorts all winter!!!

It's fun, gives me something to do! Always a good feeling to come in from a storm and grab a warm cup of joe.

The neighbors are all out cleaning up as well so we shoot the breeze for a bit...nice to have decent neighbors for a change too. :)

Aw..... keep shoveling!

That will take your mind off of Daytona, plate racing and DEI!

Just pickin' at you. :D

I'm a native NY'er that moved south in '76 and I don't miss any of that white crap. We still get some here in NC but the less I see the happier I am.

I DO enjoy snowy scenes on a post card or picture!

We were supposed to get that snow, Paul. Fortunately, it missed us. The 4 inches we got last week is starting to melt. But, I've been in your position, and I don't envy you. take care not to hurt your back, stay indoors, and have a tall one.

It was awful when we first moved in, all we had was a single shovel...took a few hours to do the whole place. But the neighbors would come over with their blowers and do the driveway for us. We had only been there for a few days!

Anyway, after that first storm here I went on a 3 hour drive to Julie's brother's house to get a blower. Big difference, it's actually kinda fun!

I just got in from snowblowing about an hour ago. I don't mind when it's light snow but when it's windy and you know you got to go back out again, kinda suzs. I've got a pretty good size driveway but I don't like having it plowed cause it throws gravel all over the lawn.

We got about 11" so far.

Nice to have good neighbors. For the most part mine are okay but 1 neighbor seems to think that I should have to hear his kid play and electric guitar all day long or whenever. Even as early as 7 am. This was after I even talked to the father. And I'm on an acre. Sound travels.

Be thankful it's an electric guitar and not spanish rap songs blasting through your ceiling until 4am. :dual9mm:

When i lived out in Otis we would all go around with our trucks and plows and help each other out....kinda like a barter system ...i'll help you out this time , you help me out next time. We would sand the shut inns driveways and shovel for them, brought the neighbors close together and you actually knew your neighbors name and kids. Always was good to share a nice hot cup of coffee next to the wood stove too.....miss that!

just rain here too 66.....getting really cold out though.

Another few degress drop and we might see a flake or two.

And that is a blizzard down here! :whoopee:

Yikes... that weather map looks nasty bet the Berkshires are getting buried!!!

Two feet here...... Boss already called and cancelled work for tomorrow......Yeah, it's tuff, I know... ^_^

Real men don't use snow blowers. ;)

But my elbow that is swollen is telling me to go rent one tomorrow...... :D

I bet I moved five tons of snow today...didn't even make a dent.

Smart men that are getting old and know that you can die shoveling snow do. ^_^

I read a report on that....and its just not old men.....guys in their 20's and 30's were falling over dead....

And I do hope everyone knows that I was joking. If had a snow blower, I'd sleep with it tonight. :D

It took me like 2 hours of shoveling and loading my truck bed up with cinder blocks and tires and rims from my basement to get out of my driveway Monday. You gotta love snow. It is beautiful, but it sure does suck to work in.

we had about an inch and a half of that clear ice mixed with sleet so it was a mess

Guido, here's a "postcard" taken from my front porch. That would be my car across the street in front of the green house, and unlike Paul, we don't have a snow blower :(
