Absofreakinawesome. Yup, that's a word according to Kat. And she's right. I remember clearly when Mrs. Rogers taught us that word in english class in 1960.

The etymology goes something like this:

Abso- strong emphasis, from the Greek for stomach muscles
freakin-very unusual, from the Gypsy term for oddballs
awesome- really freakin abso, from the Boston word for "b*tchin"

Kat used it today to describe the earthquake photos.

Absofreakinlutely is absopositutely as good as absofreakinawesome.

I'm staying out of this thread....................never did get those funny words..............:D :D

Did you have to go to the yearbook to remember Mrs. Rogers?

My favorite English teacher was that beautiful, blue haired Miss McCarthy. But Both made us mind our P's and Q's.

Absofreakinsure......conjugate that!
