Abu Dhabi GP

McLaren have this in the bag unfortunately, especially with Leclerc’s 10-place grid drop.

Hulkenberg starting P4 in his final outing with Haas. Nice!

2025 Sauber signee Bortoleto is up 5.5 points on maybe possibly 2025 VCARB signee Hadjar with the feature race left tomorrow. Starting P2 and P4 from the grid.

There's been one high profile goodbye in the Middle East today already and in addition to that this will most likely be the final F1 race for four drivers on today's grid.
It was about time for some change in the driver lineup but nevertheless I'll miss Bottas, K-Mag and Perez.
It's sad to see Checo's career end like this but it'd be even more sad if he continued like that for another year.

And of course we'll also see the final race for F1's most successful and longest lasting driver-constructor combination.
Hamilton in red will look weird for the first few races but I'm looking forward to it.

Hell of a pass around the outside of his teammate by Lewis on the final lap. Nice way to make a statement on the way out.

First WCC for McLaren since 1998 is remarkable. That team was absolutely dreadful in the mid-2010s during the failed Honda experiment. Zak Brown and co. have done a fantastic job turning the team around since. I was rooting for Ferrari but can’t be too mad about them coming up only position short, they certainly made it interesting down the stretch run of this season.

Fun race to end a fun season. Probably the wildest first lap of the entire season.
With Max punting Piastri off the track on lap one Lando couldn't put a foot wrong - and he didn't. If he had run more races like today the drivers championship wouldn't have been decided two weeks ago.
Chuck and Lewis both did an amazing job charging through the field. Leclerc passed four cars in one corner twice on lap one if I'm not mistaken.
I remember 12 years ago when literally everyone was saying Hamilton made a terrible decision going to Mercedes. No one thought this would go down as the greatest combination ever. This was, after all, a worthy end.
Never thought Alpine would make it to sixth in the WCC with the terrible start to the season they had. The fact that Gasly didn't have any crash damage over the course of the entire 24-race season is incredible.
Haas is perhaps the biggest surprise of the season considering almost everyone expected them to finish last. Günther isn't missed at all.
Love to see McLaren come out on top of the WCC at the end. The mid 2010s were so painfully bad for them. They put in one hell of an effort to make it back to the top.

Bring on 2025!
Bottas has unfortunately not covered himself in glory in his perhaps final start.
Out with a bang.
