Wake Forest University head basketball coach Skip Prosser died today of a heart attack. He was jogging on campus and collapsed. He was dead on arrival at the hospital.
Damn, this would have only been a hop, skip and a jump from where I was and I could have been delivering mail in the area where he collapsed because the regular carrier was off today and they had a sub carrying that route.
Skip was a very well loved coach at the university and though the last couple of years were pretty dim, he had averaged over 20 wins a season in his seven years here. He was ACC coach of the year in 2005 I believe. The school and the city are in mouring for this loss.
