A few yrs ago I recall one or two of their players getting caught stealing clothes. Seems they knew the cashier and she was only ringing them up for one item but they were getting multiple items. All three were caught and I don't recall hearing what the final outcome was, but I do know that the player was allowed to not only stay on the team but was also allowed to play every game. He wasn't even suspended for a game. I think I know who the player was but because I don't remember for sure so I'll keep my mouth shut on that one.

The players in question were Peter Warrick(now with the Cincinnati Bengals) and Laverneous Coles(now with the NY Jets).

Funny how when Coles and Warrick were caught they were in contention for a National Championship and nothing was done to them. I think Warrick was even in the running for the Heisman.....

Actually, Laverneus Coles was kicked off the team for that, because he had done some other stuff before that, such as flying on a pro-team's plane (why it's illegal, I don't know), and the school resorted to the "3 strikes and yer out" rule.

You can rest assured that if he were in contention for the Heisman that he would still be on the team. Thank you 4x for finishing what I couldn't. I thought one of them had been kicked off and not the other but since I wasn't positive I didn't want to mention that.
