What are your thoughts here. Should they allow women or just keep it the way it is. I do not particularly care, but if it was a all womens sewing club, know one would care. It is a private club. They are not obligated to allow anyone to join. I myself however, kind of like the company of an attractive lady, but if these guys want to hang out with a bunch of men all the time, then I guess that is there perogative.
 
Just as they are under no obligation to allow women in, Woods is under no obligation to play there.

Personally, I respect their right to allow whomever they choose.
 
If they are forced to admit women, the YWCA should admit men. The Daughters of the American Revolution too for that matter. Hey, how about we admit some minorities in the KKK while we're at it? Make Barbra Streisand president of the NAACP too.

I don't reckon Augusta Country Club or whatever it is will ever be courtin me for membership, so I really don't care what they do. Just gets under my skin how some people can't accept that organizations don't owe them a damn thing.

By the way....the term golf is an acronymn. When the game was invented in Scotland, the term stood for Gentlemen Only, Ladies Forbidden. Just something to chew on.
 
very well put ward, i mean you cant just run around to different organizations and cry that you cant get in. that is what makes different org.s different, duh. i am not sure what the states are coming to, but i wish some of these liberals would just get a job and stay where they are celebrated. thats all
 
A Private club means exactly that --- it's PRIVATE! I see no reason for them to be forced to admit women.

My feelings sure aren't hurt because I can't become a member.
 
it's golf, who would care?? aren't there enough places to golf? If you can't get into one just goto another and get over it

Just seems that anymore, it doesn't matter what it is, someone doesn't like something about it. They will either sue to change it, or ask people to boycot it. Quite frankly, I believe everything will work itself out without the help of these people. If the people there in Augusta want to admit women, they will. I always hate it when an outsider wants to tell me what I should do. Now I have to buckle my seatbelt, wear my helmet, buy a helmet for my kids, buy an expensive seat for my todler, put out my cigarettes, and on and on. Why, because someone doesn't like my lifestyle. Actually, I'm no longer a smoker, My kids are all grown, and I sold my bike about five years ago. I still have to buckle that damned seatbelt though. One more thing...I can't become a member of the Augusta Country Club anyway, so all I can do watch them play on TV. :cookoo:
 
Hey Buck, I bet if you take em some of them roastin ears they will let you in.

Admitted to where? Bob Marley! Even though I'm an old faht, I do love dat reggae music. My fav is "Do you love me" by Dawn Penn. Oh yeah!
 
To the country club.....or the looney bin. I think you are one of the best additions to this board in awhile. Love talking with you. You and HS seem to get a chuckle a day outta me.
 
Now let's not get carried away with this. I've gotta reputation to uphold you know. I gotta tell you though that tonight has not been a good one for me, that's why I'm a little slow. I feel like, well, let's just say that I don't feel all that well now and I hate to think that I'll have to hit the sack before long so I can get up in the morning and do it all over again. I might do it all over myself. In the meantime, where's that club?
