Ah yes

All over the podium!

That was a good "race"! Alot of mishaps and confusion. I think there was more passes for the lead in this race than there was last year!

From what I have heard around it was a good race. Was nowhere near a TV set last night so I will have to catch the replay tonite.

Did hear that there was a possibility that Schumacher would be DQ'd for shedding parts. That is an interesting deal.

Well, he lost his barge boards during the race and they were wondering if it might fail post racing "scrutinizing". I highly doubt it, however.

Running a junk car like that it's no wonder the Mclarens made him their little stepchild all day. :):)

I remember Tiger saying somting on the line of, Bring it on you silver beasts!
lol, I don't think he wanted them to come that much. Yeah the Shuei bros certainly had a rough day. First time since 99 ferrari hasn't been on the poduim, thats crazy. The Hondas stayed together, the ferraris did not  One thing tough, usre put a twist to start off the season.

It was a very good race!! Best I had seen in a while. The only confusion I noticed was that the announcers seemed to be unable to handle all the action up front. They are so used to never having to say anything but "Look at Schumacher go" that they didnt know what to do. I like Coulthard, but like Montoya better so it was not quite the finish I had hoped for. I loved Montoya's post races quotes tho, I bet that brought a frown to the faces of them uppity officials!

For those that didnt see it....Montoya said "I got screwed twice" then later "Basically, **** happens"

Michael Schumacher probably choked on his Perrier....he would never dare say anthing like that!

hey that was an awsome race! the best i have seen out of f1 since the late 90's. Since i dont like ferrari, i was very happy to see rubens smack the wall and shuei dropping debris. Still wanting him to get disqualified but i doubt it. It was great seeing cars like toyota, renault, jaguar, and sauber up there side by side with the likes of ferrari. I am almost posistive now that we will see someone besides the usual three teams win. Sepang is a horsepower cicuit and so i look for the williams and toyota's to do well. Hope everyone has watched the race because it was definitly one to see.

Great race! Can't believe JPM spun

I have a feeling we'll go back to the Scumacher, Barichello, Shumacher parade soon.

hehee...yes I must learn to keep my incouragements to my own team!! :p
BTW I'm female :D

Was just simply an AMAZING race!! Of course it's always going to be better when you're actually there! hehee.

I have some piccies, not many of the F1 cars though, as the bloody fench once again was too high! pefft.

They were lucky to have a dry track! I was having sooo much fun watching the celebraty race and V8 supercar race in the wet, even saw Dean Canto in a V8 car go off on the warm up lap it was THAT slippery, so the F1 guys were very lucky!

Minardi I think surprised everyone with the qual more of NOT posting a qual time, there for they were able to work all night on the car set up and the tank could have any level on fuel in it. When we realised what they had done we thought Kimi maybe should have thought of doing the same as he wasn't going to post a good qual time anyway due to what happened the day before, so he would have been in a perfect position with full tank, but at the end of the day 3rd is still a fantastic way to start!

Was great, as an Australian, this year to see more and more Webber fans and Jag flags in support for our Aussie driver although it was a shame the Jag couldn't get him to the finish line.

Loved all the passing!!! Great move by kimi, shame about the speeding in pit lane! As for Montoya, this is exactly what I mean when I say he doesn't understand F1 yet....he doesn't know how to keep a good thing goin' by not over driving the car etc... So glad to see DC win at the end of the day, even as a Ferrari fan.

Like I said some where else... no matter how many millions a team puts into a car, driver, race luck still comes into it and both Ferrari drivers didn't have luck. For Barry to make a silly mistake and for Michaels car to fall apart from hitting a kerb...pefft! oh well...that's motor sport!

Paul dear, don't count your chickens before they hatch...McLaren 1 & 2...would you like to put money on that? Personally I was more surprised at the pace of BAR and Jag :p over the whole weekend.

I'll get some piccies up as soon as I can! :)
Sorry to the guys I think this is the first year I didn't take some pics of the pit babes (for my mates, not like that!)...i think the cold weather scared them away...

BAR was surprising for sure. If you know anything about American Baseball and the Redsox and their fans then you'll understand that I can only have a small amount of disappointment in my life at any given time as a RedSox fan...so I think I'll leave BAR alone for a while. :)

Was hoping the Fin would bring it across first, and nearly lost my beer when I heard about the penalty.

Money? No, I'm simply talk smack for the remainder of this break and then disappear after the Malaysian GP. :p

Oh, and the nipply weather would have made for better photo ops.

Why did I already know someone would think of that :D

If you're going for Kimi this year, you're asking for DC to retire. He can't afford to be out done by him...again.

I know nothing about baseball, I use to tune out when my ex boyfriend talked about it non stop as he was over in America for two years doin' something or rather in the pro thing over there...see I don't even know what you call it...lol...so I'll just shake my head up and down and say yeessss to your comments :p

sorry tiger ;)

Great report! Always good to hear from someone that was at the race. What turn did u guys sit in? I know horsepower is hard to take a picture of, but defintely put those pics up :D

The way its lookin this year, I don't know if there will be a sweep. I will say that there is going to be 3 different teams on the podium for the upcoming race. Too crazy to tell what order yet.

hehee...no worries mate...

I sat on the last corner but I could see right down the straight and pits and the second last corner also.

We also had the Motor Show on for two weeks while the F1's were here too...so it really was Rev Head Heaven in Melbourne! :D

Now, bring on Malaysia :bounce:
