AJ Allmendinger signs contract extension with Richard Petty Motorsports

AJ Allmendinger has signed a multiyear contract extension to drive the No. 43 car at Richard Petty Motorsports, a source close to the situation said Wednesday.

The team has scheduled a news conference for Friday at Watkins Glen International.
