Well, it looks like Alex Tagliani will start his own IndyCar team next year for the 2010 season. He has found a Canadian investor (confidential source at this time) to purchase all of Marty Roth's equipment which includes 4 race cars and 1 show car.

Rob Edwards will be his team manager and Jim Freudenburg will handle the commercial side of his team. The official announcement will be made at Chicagoland Speedway during the weekend of August 28th. The sponsorship will be announced at a later date.

This is a multi-year deal that will run him as the driver for several seasons and possibly bring up a new young driver to replace him eventually.

Good news for Alex. Its always good to see new teams and new sponsorships.

More news of Tagliani's race team has emerged. It's Team FAZZT.

The new FAZZT team has been put together by Montreal-based businessman Andre Azzi, who has purchased the assets of the Roth Racing team.

As well as recruiting Tagliani to drive, Azzi has drafted in former Kelley Racing team owner Jim Freudenberg, who had worked with Tagliani at Conquest, and actor and ex-racer Jason Priestley, whose Rubicon Racing team entered Max Papis for the 2008 Indianapolis 500 in a join effort with Sam Schmidt Motorsports.

Former Walker Racing team manager Rob Edwards has also joined the project and will run the race team on a day-to-day basis.
