Seven drivers have competed in all 61 restrictor-plate races: Bill Elliott, Terry Labonte, Mark Martin, Ricky Rudd, Ken Schrader, Rusty Wallace and Michael Waltrip.(4-3-2003)


that dont make sense cause we have four a year and already had daytona but we had an extra restrictor plate race in New hampshier, Wonder if they forgot that one....STRIDS you got the answer??
 
The 61 number makes sense. The first year the plates were used was 1988, so 15 full years X 4 = 60, plus Daytona this year, for a total of 61. That's just for Daytona and Talladega. In regards to the NHIS plate race, I'm not sure that Bill Elliott competed in that race, but I know that all the other drivers did.
 
I cant hardly beleive that! :eek: Man they have been lucky! :)
 
I don't remember the plate race @NHIS, who won that one?
 
I got rid of the double post for ya.

Jeff Burton won the NHIS plate race, September 2000. Led every lap. It was the most boring race in NHIS history, which is saying a lot. Needless to say, the plates were of by the time they next went. But actually, the Featherlite Modified series uses them there, and have since the day the track opened. I think they use 1 1/8" plates.

No lead changes at all? Yeah that would not make for an interesting race. That may be why I don't remember it.
