you know what drives me crazy when drivers crash or falls out of a race, "we were just riding there, bideing or time, we had a top 5 car." Everyone seems to have a top 5 car. :flushed:
 
As soon as I saw the headline of your topic I knew what you were going to say. It drives me nuts too. You always get a guy like Jimmy Spencer or Jeff Green saying they had a top 5 car, or they had a shot at winning. When was the last time one of those guys had a top 5 finish?
 
That's a big part of why I like Stewart cause he'll say "the car wasn't that good anyway" or something along that line. Instead of the typical, "we had a great car". It drives me nuts too.
 
Yeah,that bugs me too.I just wish that the guys(like Spencer,for instance)would admit the truth."Well,the deal is,I really had about a 35th place car.I mean,I was better than Brett and whoever is in Foyt's car this week.But thats about it.The reason I finished as high as I did is because some if the other guys were in accidents caused by guys like me!" :lol:
 
Jeremy Mayfield was notorious for that when he used to get some TV time. (Snicker) Oh and Rusty ALWAYS seems to have a "fast hot rod."
 
Oh sorry, I thought this thread was about Bodine and how he wuz planing on taking out the top 5 race leaders...nevermind :p

Well sometimes when they say that, they actually mean it, like I think that Elliott Sadler said they had a top 5 car, and they were in the top 5 all day. But you are right guys, like Spencer or one of the Bodines when they say it...It is just plain annoying!
 
It seems like sometime Spencer does have a top 5 car and doesn't know what to do with it. :blink:

Yeah he does...he puts it in the wall or screws it up by wrecking someone else... :)
