Alright, here's the deal. I was a hardcore #3 fan. Since his demise, I've waffled between Jr, Mikey, and Harvick. I'll enjoy a beer no matter which one wins. But (here's the sticker) my 8 year old daughter (hereafter known as V2.0) roots for *shudder* Jeff Gordon!!!!!!! Where did I go wrong. I know. It that damn public schooling.

Anyone else have split households? How do you deal with it? 2 TVs in separate rooms?

Split household? Oh, yeah, Prof. Have kids that cheer for Bobby Labonte and Jeff Burton and an ex-wife that likes all things Chevrolet. (Please note the 'ex' part, however.) Sadly, not another Kurt Busch fan in the bunch.

Pretty diverse...but it used to make things interesting around here on race day.

My sister used to watch Nascar races for the sole purpose to jab her boyfriend when Earnhardt would not win and Gordon did..and they were adults. She had a field day with all the Earnhardt Daytona troubles.

Does it look like the race is gonna happen or is the forecast looking bad? Anyone?

*sticks head out window*
Ow. Forgot my lab doesn't have any windows ('cept on the computers). But then, Montreal doens't get have a NASCAR race yet either. Either way, it's still a little chilly (50F) for racing without snowtires on.

In the "B" household, I'm a Ricky Rudd fan. The wife is a Mikey Waltrip fan. Oldest son is a Junior fan and the youngest son is a Jeff Gordon fan.

Haven't been able to figure out who the cats root for. They seem to want to run away from the sound most of the time.

We too live in a split household. I'm a Sadler fan, the wife likes Kurt Busch, but that's where it ceases making sense.

The kid, simply because he had a picture taken with Spngu Squarebritches, like Jimmie "Bush Hog" Johnson.

We have failed this child in some meaningful way I guess.

Still, we all agree on the truly important things: harvick, Junior, Tony and Jeff Gordon are equally reviled by all. I guess we got SOME lessons through to her after all.

Showers are predicted, it's chilly, and we ALL should do the Anti-Rain Dance (Same thing as the Native American Rain Dance, but BACKWARDS :D ).

My household is divided with ME loving Jeff Gordon, among others, and Hubby HATES racing  My kids, step daughter, and even my ex hubby are just plain clueless. Where did I go wrong? :p

I wasn't near a computer during the race but thanks for the link, Kat.

LOML and I are firmly in the 6 camp---I have been since seeing him run ASA.

Both sons are clueless---or don't watch. Youngest is a go-cart track manager--the shop sponsors a local truck racer---I seldom hear him mention NASCAR.

Grandkids only know this---when Poppa's race is on---they better be QUIET!!!!!!!!!

Only two here in this household now and we are both fans of racing. The wife is a fan of Tony Stewart and I'm a Jr. and Kahne fan. We watch in separate rooms. :)

Household I live in is split 4 ways.

Hubby - Rusty Wallace
Drew - Dale Jr.
Jordan - Tony Stewart
Myself - Jeff Gordon

Fun here on race day if we are all here, I catch the worst end of the deal. <_<

These guys are jealous of MY MAN !!!!! ;)

Hey PS, we'll get along just fine :D

My house is pretty calm. Hubby roots for Dale Jr. and Jimmie Johnson and I for Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson. Then we both find ourselves rooting AGAINST mostly the same drivers, too. It's when we are around friends that I really catch alot of crap!

My wife and I are both Bobby Labonte fans. To get any extra excitement we invite my brother and his wife, Rusty Wallace fans, or other friends, Dale Jarrett fan, Jeff Gordon fans over and aggrevate each other,. Great fun! :)

Jr (me) and Jeff Gordon (Cutie). We get along pretty good during the races since Jeff's one of my other favorites and Jr's one of Cutie's other favorites!! :) Only when it comes down to the two racing side by side does it get tense..........and once one passes the other, it's back to the gentle joshing back and forth.

Same room, same TV.........though Cutie can't sit still long enough to watch green to checkered without getting up to do something! :D Sunday's don't produce agruments here!!

DEW, same here though we watch in different rooms. We do that because I am now hooked on Pit Command so that I can see where the guys are that I want to watch, thus I have to be in here with my PC. The wife sits on the bed in the bedroom with her computer on her lap and the TV on in front of her. It was cool the last race we attended, a night race at Richmond. We brought along the wife's brother and his wife. All of us were rooting for different people. Me, Elliott, the wife, Tony Stewart, her brother, Kyle Petty and his wife was hootin' and hollerin' for Jr. We all got along fine.

Try this one:
Myself- WARD BURTON
sister- Sterling
Her oldest son- Ryan Newman
His wife- K. Kayne
Her other son- Bobby L.
His wife- Jr.
My son- Kenseth
Brother Gollum- Harvick

WILD HUH!!???

If we feel particularly like subjecting ourselves to some punishment, we can include the parental units and end up with:

EMP - Elliott Sadler
Star - Kurt Busch
11.68 year old - Jimmie Johnson
Mama EMP - Rusty Wallace
Papa EMP - Kasey Kahne
Mama Star - Tony Stewart
Papa Star - Jeff Gordon

Blood will be shed before the pace laps are concluded! :p And STILL no Junior supporters in the bunch, of which we are supremely proud I might add.

We're huge Jimmie fans. We both loath, despise and generally don't care for Lil'E and we both would pull for Mikey if he ever left DEI. My wife is starting to develop a soft spot for Elliot Sadler. I think its the puppy dog eyes and general bad luck he's had. We both get a hoot out of the "bug-eyed dummy" Greg Biffle. Tho she doesn't care for him and I do.
We both would like for DW and BP to find something else to do on Sundays. We both we be mortally afraid to ever get in the Dew car with Wally even tho he seldom goes over 95 mph. And, finally we'd love to get the races on PPV if it meant no commercials. We TIVO the race now to FF thru them.

I'm a Mark Martin/Ford girl married to a Dale Sr&Jr/Chevy guy.

Race days can be a little tense in our house. :bigfight: :D
