I only saw the main event (I still call it the Winston Select) but didn't see a bonehead thread. Surely there has to be one.

My vote goes to Jimmie Johnson. It was his race to lose, and he lost it!!:beerbang::beerbang:

I know its the All-Star race, so its checkers or wreckers.Even so, I'd have to say Kyle Busch for taking himself out when his car was pretty damn strong, and then blaming Hamlin.

I'd say Johnson for the main event. After winning segments 2 & 3, then just spinning on his own with 2 laps to go? Maybe it's that father-to-be jinx.

But in the showdown it was all David Gilliland. He hit everything but the pace car.

Too many to choose from. I'll select Jeff Gordon for deciding to slam the wall on the first lap, turn four. I don't get to many chances to choose him anyway. How does he do it anyway? It's almost like he's lost his will to win> :D

I can't pinpoint a true bonehead move. Kyle's move was a result of Denny moving up a little --- just a reaction. Jimmie's I'd say was a result of having the air taken off the spoiler by the car on his outside.

Actually, almost every driver in the All-Star main event made some kind of bonehead move. Joey Logano made one.

jpm for taking himself out in the showdown then blaming regan smith for it. that's reaching a bit but well deserved imo. i'm also a jpm fan, less now than before the showdown. <g>

Montoya because he just thinks the world revolves around him. Jeff Gordon for hitting the wall on about the first lap of the race. Tony Stewart for waiting till two laps left before he passed a single car and of course JJ for spinning himself out(again) and costing himself the race.
