jeez every one seems to be movin around...
Crew Moves: hearing [not a big surprise] that many of the crew of the #22 Bill Davis Racing Team are laving and moving to the #7 Ultra Motorsports team where former crew chief Tommy Baldwin Jr is now working, others going to different teams.(11-27-2002)
UPDATE: Tommy Baldwin, the new crew chief for Jimmy Spencer [not officially named yet] in Jim Smith's Ultra Motorsports #7 car, has kind of cleaned the walls of people. Over the long Thanksgiving weekend, I don't know how many and I don't know who, but I hear a substantial amount of guys that worked with him on the #22 car have moved to Bill Davis Racing to work with him. It's not highly unusual because it's almost like when a head football coach changes teams, a lot of times a lot of his assistants go with him.(FoxSports)(12-2-2002)New Crew for the #25: Expect a new look on pit road for the #25 (Joe Nemechek) crew. After Homestead, crew chief Peter Sospenzo released his entire squad and hired seven new members. Now that shop foremen Ed Guzzo has returned to the traveling team as chief mechanic, former crew chief Billy Woodruff will take over the shop foreman's role for the #25 team(Sporting News)(12-2-2002)
#21 looking for crew members: The #21 Wood Brothers team need a new rear tire changer and tire carrier because Jay Guaneri and Troy Prince have joined Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s crew for 2003.(Sporting News)(12-2-2002)
#17 Crew Changes? hearing that the tire changers [Phil Drye and Dave Smith] for the #17 DeWalt Union 76/Rockingham World Pit Crew Championship title team have left [Smith to the #24 and Drye to the #8 team], supposedly replaced by current #17 Front Tire Carrier Justin Nottestad and Jeremy West [from the #2 Truck team](12-2-2002)
lets see if this will give some speed to jeffy as he leaves pit road!!!
