This is a popularity contest. Im a patrick fan and I dont know what to think
I also love Senna.
 
If I could pick the final four it would be Earnhardt, Petty, Schumacher or Senna (hard to pick one of the two), and Andretti

Don't know how you could determine the greatest but to me it would have to include AJ Foyt and Mario Andretti. I'm going to fire Danica from the list because she really hasn't done much and replace her with this evidently unknown driver by the name of Dan Gurney. He has raced and won in about any form of racing that you can think of. The last would be Jackie Stewart. Many of the drivers of Nascar would have had a chance but mainly limited their racing to stock cars. Who knows what Gordon or B. Allison would have done in sports on Indy cars. Either one of the Unsers deserve attention also. But really Danica???
 
There's to many variables here.

You can't put Sr, Petty, and Andretti up against Gordon and Johnson and expect it to be a fair fight.

And Joey and Kes haven't even began to show us what they can do....

It should be HoFers only on this bracket.

I'm guessing they didn't put Dan Gurney on here because his greatest successes were in sports cars, a discipline that was excluded for whatever reason...or else, guys like Tom Kristensen would definitely be on here too.
 
Maybe you are right but he did win in Nascar and I believe he won in F1 also. About the only thing he didn't race in that I can think of was dirt tracks. To me with his history of racing and winning in just about anything is basically an insult.

People won't vote for Jimmie because he's "boring" and he "cheats".

It's stock car racing. Everybody cheats.

I was kind of disappointed that drag racing wasn't included. Then Danica was included so the whole thing is kind of laughable.

she will get a few votes from this place. someone on here thinks she is going to be the next Bill Elliot and it's not DF.
 
I hope you guys have a lot of fun with this........ it just appears to me it is a useless waste of time because there is no way a true winner can be determined...... it depends on how many folks vote for their favorite........ and that is not a true vote on who is the greatest........ if all holds true over the last several years...... either Bill Elliott or Jr. will win because of stuffed ballot boxes.......

all I needed to see about this poll being nothing more than a site created to generate ad revenue based number of clicks ( anyone else tired of slide shows?) was that kenseth received votes against dale Earnhardt.

sorry matt. i'm a fan, but this should be unanimous. guess the anti-Earnhardt crowd lives after all these years...
