I'd like to think so too, but the truth is Jeff Gordon is at the verge of retiring, give him 2-3 years and he will hang it up for good.

Anywho i do think he'll catch Bobby Allison and Darrel Waltrip for third :)

31 wins to get into 2nd place is a pretty tall order.

I'd say he'd do well to get into 3rd.

His age, his new wife and his new baby I can see 9-10 more wins to move him to 3rd. But, beyond that I think he's done.

I'll say he will end up 3-5. Id say he will be racing for quite a while, I give him round 7-10 more years before he hangs up the helmet.

I believe he has a very good shot of 3rd on the list. Climbing to second may be too difficult. However, if he gets on a roll and has a few outstanding seasons.......who knows.

At least no one is thinking number one. :D

I am thinking maybe he will get on a roll too. If not 3rd ain't too shabby.

I believe that has a lot more wins in him now that he's happy with Ingrid and their pending parenthood.

I think this list is very interesting, interesting indeed. It shows that in order to be a champion, you don't have to be a big winner. Check out those who have tied for 63rd on the list and you will find a former champ. Yep, five wins over his carreer, cut short by his untimely death, you will find Alan Kulwicki. On the other hand, you will find a young man who is 17th on this list with 35 wins and no titles. This sport can be very cruel.

I didn't realize AJ Foyt had won 7 Cup races. I do remember when he used to enter some of the races but the wins must have been before my time.

Yeah well wait until he finds out the shotgun wasn't even loaded then we'll see...

A.J. actually raced in 128 Nascar races. So, it would average out to about 2 wins per season over his Nascar career.

Pretty good, 2 wins per season.
Jeff Gordon, he appears happy and real for now. I'm not a 24 fan, but it's good to see him real and not fake. (don't
