NASCAR-themed reality TV show planned: The VH1 cable network has recruited a number of current and former NASCAR wives to talk about their husbands, lives and careers as part of a new, NASCAR-themed reality TV show. While divulging few actual details of the project, Influence Entertainment Group producer LT Tottle confirmed today that her company is working on a new, NASCAR-themed reality program. "On the record, all I can tell you is that there is a project in the works," said Tottle today, adding that negotiations are ongoing with the VH-1 to select a title and decide how many episodes will be produced. "We have about eight different (show) names to choose from," she said. "We think one thing and the network thinks another. As of now, we're calling it, `Women Filming.' We want to have the show up and airing -- if not this fall -- by the beginning of 2013." She declined to name any of the show's subjects, but said she has, "approximately 10 women" committed to the project, including some current wives of NASCAR drivers. She confirmed that scenes have already been shot at an undisclosed location outside the Charlotte, NC, area. "I'd call (our roster) a combination of current and former spouses of NASCAR drivers," said VH1's Tottle. "I have a lot of friends from the sport, and we got together to put together a reality show and see how it works." While she has not spoken with NASCAR or informed them of the project, Tottle said she expects the sanctioning body's reaction to be "really good. I have no intention of painting anything other than the positives of the sport," she said. "I don't think it's going to portray anything other than that. I know it'll be very positive."(Godfather Motorsports)(9-4-2012)

Getting more exposure for the sport isn't all that bad IMO. Reality shows seem to be where America's focus is so why not? Heck, it could open a hole new influx of fans. Go for it.

Putting beautiful women on TV with some racing sounds good to me. I admire Samantha Busch she is a very articulate intellectual. I am thinking she meditates intensely doing her yoga, and putting her flexible, adorable yoga meditation routines on TV would allow me to meditate too.

Especially if she is out by the pool in her G-string bikini.:D

Thank you, Mr. Obvious! LOL

I dunno. I have a tendency to stay away from this type of program but as DPK said, more exposure to non race fans might bring more people (and sponsors) into the sport.

I will reserve judgement for now...

Reserving judgement is no fun. Tell us what you really think! :D

Sounds like to me a couple washed up drivers wives sitting around trying to think up a get rich scheme but will not have the money to pay NASCAR to ok the project.

My wife and I will watch. We watch about anything NASCAR related. If they want to throw some eye candy out there for me each week I'm all for it.

If they don't use NASCAR in the title they probably won't have to pay NA$$CAR anything.
.
If they plan on using the past and current NASCAR drivers life storyline you know NASCAR is going to want something for it

That's the beauty of DVR, just FF to the pool scene, and go the slow motion. You can even mute her if needed, what more could a man ax for...

OK, I am NOT reserving judgement, my judgement is coming up front. Bottom of the barrel TV may bring in new fans, but they will be of the obnoxious Jersey Shore variety.

Might be Right! ;)
But they have already said that this will be the final season for Jersey Shore (which doesn't mean sh!t to me since I have not watched even one episode) so there will be a programming void which WILL be filled with some sort of trash! Why not NASCAR trash? :D:D:D

Why are you so prejudiced against northern rednecks? ;)

Trash in NASCAR usually brings out a caution. So it can't be good.:D Unless it's a waterbottle from the 22 car.:D:D

I wish they had an episode ready to release right now. I could use a little more entertainment while I'm sitting here in Indy for a week waiting out a rain delay.:)

If it is trash my brother will love it, he watches the crappy pawn shop show, it can't be no worse.

You have your opinion and I have mine, "my personal opinion is" she is bony and plain bordering on unattractiveness with an unearned hautiness. As I said its my opinion just like you have yours.

Having the former wives of Gordon and Kurt Bush would probably interesting too if it was unedited.
I believe I read somewhere that along with Buffy Waltrip, kurt and Jeffs exes signed nondisclosure agreements as part of the divorce settlement.

My biggest fear is that it will turn into a bunch of rich men's wives flaunting their possessions, their boob jobs and their jewelry. Face it. The top tier driver in NA$$CAR is hardly an "everyman".
