Starting 21st in tonights CTS event.
Local boy Brendan Gaughan is starting 30th. His pa owns The Orleans Hotel & Casino and sponsors all sorts of stuff at the local speedway. Used to watch him battle the Buschie Boys here at the shortie and boy was that fun. Might not have their raw talent but the kid knows how to get around a race track
And I even get to cheer on Steve Portenga who is starting 33rd. He is another Winston West driver I've gotten to watch out here and he ain't half bad either.
But even with all that, I'm going to be rooting for Carl Long to get up and surprise the jeebers out of everybody. Silly Season? Well, here's a kid that's been around the edges of the big time. If he can run well tonight AND qualify for the Cup race (as long as he doesn't boot out the 71), he might just get the break he needs.
Anyways, short track style with the bump and bang trucks tonight. Racing don't get no better.
