I'm sick and tired of the car companies saying their new cars have European styling. Since when has European styling become so much better than American styling? Maybe that's whats the problem with new car sales here in America. This is why I drive a 17 year old car not one of these new Euro eggs. I don't know about you guys but I want a car that looks different than the next guys, not like a car that looks like my next door neighbors and I driving a Ford and he driving a Chevy. ok rant over.

This reminds me so much of the late 70's when the US car makers changed to the more boxier style of European cars. But sometimes I wonder how do the designers come up with these ideas. Growing up in the 50's, it was great to see new designs every year and a person could no only tell what model the car, but the year just with one quick look. These days it can be hard to distinguish between car makers. Also, and it's no different today, but we used to get excited about what future cars would look like. But when you get down to it, cars have really not changed that much, but what the heck, what is there that really can be changed. four wheels and a place to sit to drive, notably in this country, on the left side. How about bringing back fins? Fender skirts? Mud flaps, or curb feelers. Seems like only SUVs have a continental kit these days. Car designers just don't seem to have vivid imaginations these days.

So many of the new cars are just plain ugly -- IMO.

buck, like you, I remember when you knew the year just by looking at the car.

Now days, it's all blah.........

Free hot dogs, popcorn and search lights when they unveiled (new cars were shipped under covers back then)the new models at dealerships!

People today don't buy cars for looks. They only care about how many gadgets are in the car that they can use while driving.
