What'ya do? There was a time BC, Before Children, we'd do the dinner/overnight package with friends. Now we stay at home. Have a few drinks, WHOOPIE.

I stayed home and watched the Dick Clark Specials until 2:30am on the westcoast.

Didn't even bother watching the NYE shows, they've all become complete garbage. Instead, we watched the movie Hugo, and finished up watching the last few season two episodes of Game of Thrones.

I sat back and watched all the rookies get hammered. I had a couple glasses of rum, watching the msnbc special report on the fiscal clusterfluck. I don't enjoy the NYE specials anymore -- most mainstream music nowadays is god awful horrendous from a bunch of singers who are absolutely craptastic without autotune.

You didn't really miss anything. Watching todays style of entertainers makes me feel so old and out of touch.:(

The music sucks, and I dont have the patience. Jenny has got "tart' down to an art
and was the only thing worth watching.

Got home from work at 5:15, crashed out at 5:45, up at 1:30, out at 5:30, up at 2:30. 15-3/4 hours of sleep felt good.

Check out what happened on CNN with Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper. It appears that even the host can get blitzed. But I did get to see some of the current musical interests. I was surprised by who the wife told me she liked, and had heard of. BTW, we both crashed just before midnight. We save our late nights for our outings with our favorite bands. LOL

Is that the name of that woman? I watched some of it and she was just babbling. She was making no sense at all.

All I can say is what I have seen on the internet. The question in my mind is why is CNN keeping this woman? She was said to do something as crazy last year. I don't even know who she is. I thought she was the wife of the former Giants player, Frank Gifford, but Griffin is so different than Gifford and what does that say about me. My mother's maiden name is Griffin. I guess it's the "Kathy" in the name.

She's a comedian. Not funny IMO. I think she played Jerry's useless manager on one episode of Seinfeld. Babbles is pretty much her comedy schtick.

Bad night for CNN... between Kathy Griffin not being funny compounded with the fact that MSNBC and FOX News were on air with special reports covering the news at the same time.

I watched some of the ABC show. Taylor Swift is the most god-awful singer I've heard in a long time. And that damn Carly Rae Jepsen song......needless to say, ABC wasn't on very long.

THAT was supposed to be funny? I thought she was blind, staggering drunk and just saying whatever popped out of her mouth.

I didn't see it, but apparently someone thinks she's funnny, she keeps getting gigs. I think she got a lot of the same kind of response last year doing the same stuff, and was brought back.

She played Susan's college roommate. The one that played his manager is the woman who played the mother on 'that 70's Show', I believe.

I like a good comedy act, but I have never found Kathy Griffin to be very funny. Some of the forum members here have better one liners then she does. I think I would have to rate her as about as entertaining as Kim Kardashian is.

That's right, but in the one episode she was supposed to bring him some Jerry Lewis cufflinks, but brought him syrup instead, so I got confused.

She was supposed to bring him a case of BBQ sauce for his comedy routine but brought the wrong kind, though I know what you mean :)

Dammit! Then who was supposed to bring him the Jerry Lewis cufflinks? Or have I lost my mind?

He was going to be at an event with Jerry Lewis and bought the cufflinks which Lewis wore in Cinderfella as he thought it'd be an "in" to start a conversation with him. However, Kramer locked them in his strong box for safe keeping and then lost the key.

That's right. But hey, he had in "in." They're both named Jerry. :D
