A Statewide Tennessee Endangered Child Alert has been activated for Alyssa Hayden Lowery and Peyton Lowery by the Greeneville Police Department today.

Alyssa is a 3 year-old white female. She has strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes and is 2’5” tall and weighs 30 lbs. Alyssa also wears small, dark blue rimmed glasses. She was last seen wearing a white Easter dress with blue and pink polka dots or khaki capri pants and a yellow sun top.

Her brother Peyton is also with her. Peyton was last seen wearing khaki shorts and white t-shirt with blue writing.

According to officials, Alyssa and Peyton Lowery were not returned after visitation with their non-custodial father Jessee Lowery.
Jessee Lowery has a violent criminal history with current warrants on file in Tennessee.

The direction of travel is unknown but they may be en route to the Mobile, Alabama area.

how did this guy get non-supervised visitation with a record like that? hope the kids turn up ok. somebody should be looking at the judge that gave him non-supervised visitation or the mother for allowing the kids to go with him if it was solely her discretion to allow it.
 
He's such a pretty fellow. can't be too hard to miss, though i'm surprised they didnt list a vehicle or plate #.
 
I have to wonder how anyone can recognize anyone from photos like those. No joke. If my kid's been kidnapped, I don't expect anyone to see him smiling and happy. Every year, I update the kids' Missing Childern's ID kit with candid pics from all angles. Photos of them happy, distracted, even crying. That's what the kid's going to look like ... not posed and coiffed like their school pics.

Very good point Prof. Elizabeth Smart was seen by plenty of people during her captivity, but no one recognized her at all.
