Bar someone putting him off the track, will win the Sprint car race. He is just too good at road courses. It's what he does best.

But it takes more than driver talent to win any race. I think that Ambrose will be one of the favorites but is a long ways from being a sure thing, that is why they have the race.

I think he came from 42nd on the grid last year and finished third, this year he is on the second row. Just saying, barring any problems with other drivers, I'm predicting he will win.

Echoing the welcome, and I agree this is Ambrose's best chance. As Muggle pointed out though, the equipment is going to have to hold up.

And........Ambrose shoved a couple of guys off the track yesterday; it could happen to him today (that is if it quits raining long enough).

Don't forget about Montoya either. There will be a whole bunch of good drivers tomorrow that can win. I would give Ambrose about a 1 in 10 chance, maybe, or even 1 in 15.

Thanks for the welcome and I'm probably showing my Nascar inexperience by claiming an Ambrose win. Montoya is a great road racer and I'm sure there are a few others. Still learning the ropes with Nascar (been following the last 2 seasons) but it has me hooked. Can't wait for Monday.

I'd like to see Marcos Ambrose or Montoya win today. If Ambrose wins, I think that would make him the first foreign-born driver to sweep a weekend race.

Junior lead most of the early part of this race last year, but a bad call by Eury forced him to the back. This year he's going to have a hard time winning because he qualified so poorly.

I personally think theres a pole with a cheeseburger hanging from it attatched to the roof of Tony's car that just doesnt show up well on TV.

A little Biased on the "Aussie" opinion thread, but Ambrose is quite good on the Serpintine venues. Let him win three in a row before we call him King. Mark Martin won three in a row once, but where is he now on the pecking order.

From what you hear drivers and commentators ssay about the man, he seems to be genuine as far as nice goes. Would love for him to land at a top team, so maybe he would have a chance at other tracks. But for now I call him a road course Prince, but not yet a King.

I really loved seeing him run Busch hard at the end of Saturday's race, and the little punk didn't like it. What a class act Shrub is becoming, you got served boy a little hard driving medicene from the "Thunder from Down Under"!!!

Obviously my bias showed and he still has a long way to go but still a good race. Not sure of his decision to stay out when the other pitted payed off.

coulda, shoulda, woulda but 2nd ain't bad. marcus and team did a great job and deserve all the accolades that they are getting. you play the hand you are dealt and they did just fine.

Crackers and little Debbie snacks, now all he needs is a soda sponsorship.
