Have a question about this series. As we all know, there are some real losers on this show, right? They advertise what one of the judges says when he hears said losers. Anyway, you may or may not know of any locals who tried out for the show, but only the cream of the crop made it through, not one, but two auditions. If it takes only the cream of the crop to get by two auditions, how in the hell did those losers get in there? Are they real, or only plants for the show? If they are plants, then are they actors because they show so much emotion? If this is so, then the show is scripted from the beginning and the winner knows in advance. Just wondering.

Well never let it be said that the networks would not take advantage of the american public Buckaroo.;) These shows are gonna bury the network channels when they have made the full cycle.:) Look where all the awards went,HBO ETC.

Hey, I don't have anything against the show, I just don't watch it. I'm one of those nerds who watch Court TV, Discovery Channel and TLC. Love those forensic shows. :)

Forensic Files, Mugshots, FBI Files...all great shows. Of course my favorite is COPS.

Hell , no ! I am pissed that it is pre-empting my show "24" !

The older we get the more we like the real shows that you speak of Paul,And Buckaroo.I enjoy those shows as well.

Same here, but it's getting somewhat like MASH. I've seen them so many times that I'm starting to tell what comes next. :)

There's a new one on, "I, Detective". You get to kind of play along with the detectives, you answer questions as it goes along.

Unfortunately I'm growing a little tired of the Trading Spaces shows, it seems like that's all that's on.

I can't watch that stuff...too gory...especially when they do stuff on eyes. I just can't take that.

Like this?

If there's too much blood and gore, they're doing it wrong. Surgery, when performed well, is virtually bloodless. I will admit, eye surgey is kind of creepy. But, once you get past the initial injection in the eye to block the nerves, it's not so bad.

Paul, I believe the Trading Spaces type of shows are more for the artsy fartsy types and while others will watch the show because of it's newness, it begins to be the same thing over and over again. BTW, one of the forensic shows dealt with a case that I was very familiar with, including knowing both the victim and the murderer. Yikes, I actually know a murder! :(

Thanks fergy, now I'm naseous.

Buck, were you involved with the investigation at all?

Well, so far the show is all about the auditions. Some are good but mostly:bleh: In Austin, Tx now

Paul, no. In the nut shell (oh no, here he goes again) the case dealt with a torso that was found in the Mississippi river close to the Quad Cities, where I used to live. The murder was a chiropractor who killed his wife, cut her up and dumped the pieces in the river. They had a boy who was in the same class as my step son and both were Cub Scouts. I knew them all well and was well aware of all aspects of the case. It shocked me to see the case on national TV.

I love the show Histories Mysteries! Could watch just about anything on The History Channel, Discovery, or TLC. Also love CSI and of course the Antique Roadshow. Can't forget Bargin Hunt on of my girls fav. too.

I love TLC esp. trading spaces, the wedding story, and the makeover story. I LOVE the discovery channel esp. when it has stuff about the ocean or stuff about Eygpt.
