Some of my g/f keep pushing this show on me. I decided to watch it tonight cause they are down to the top 4. Watched the first 2 singers and I thought they were really bad. The girl with the red/pink hair just screeched and then this guy Simon who is supposed to be cruel says she was great. As usual, I'm just sooooooooooooooooo confused. The girl singing "Its raining men" was just okay.
 
I have it on in the next room for the 2nd time ever. Didn't last more than 6 minutes the first time. It's still on this time. The fact that the television's in the next room sure helps a lot.

Can't stand the show. Can't stand Simon or Paula Abdul or any of the other idiots who are involved with the show. I just found out a vendor of mine from work really likes the show and makes bets on the outcome with his adult daughters. It took every bit of restraint I had not to laugh in his face when I heard that.

Sorry if I offended anyone here...
 
Thank God, I was afraid it was just me. At least they're not butchering some of my favorite country songs.
 
Actually, I'm hooked, but it's more an inside joke thing that I have w/ a couple of friends of mine than sheer pleasure...

One of my best friends tore her ACL a few weeks ago, and to help keep her company (pre and post surgery), we watch the show together, and have fun picking the contestants apart I might add...
 
I must confess that I stepped into the next room more than once to...check out the action. :eek:

I still can't stand any of them, but I agree, HH, that it's a lot of fun tearing them all apart. Maybe that's a big part of the show's appeal. :D
