goes to the men and women of the United States Military. :salute:

What a wonderful Easter present for the family of Captain Phillips! :beerbang:

Definitely Navy Seals! You just knew it had to be them!! You rock guys!! Thank God he is safe.

Give it a rest BP. We all know that military action, such as that taken by the SEALS, the authorization has to come from the top.

And they did a magnificent job.:whoopee:

I read in an article they fired only 3 shots from 1 moving boat on rough seas to another moving 1 when the 3 pirates had only their heads and shoulders exposed at the same time.EXCELLENT & PRICELESS.:beerbang::beerbang:

SEAL Snipers. actually, it's usually a bad idea to mess with anybody who has bigger and better weaponry, period. And a 10 foot life raft vs a 150 foot clipper....no brainer (no pun intended).

It wasn't a 10 foot life raft, it was an enclosed 28 foot life boat. The snipers had to shoot through portholes, making it even harder.

oh wow. I didn't know they used entire boats for "life boats". I mean hell, most civilian boats aren't even 28 foot! Granted most boats don't carry 20 passengers....

Mag, check out any commercial cruise ship and you'll see that they don't use what you have seen in the movies from the Titanic. I'm sure you have seen by now what those lifeboats looked like.

Don't worry about commercial ships. Just look at Greg Norman's little dinghy.
Named "Aussie Rules," which he helped design. At 69.5 meters (228 feet) in length. The following additional "small" boats are kept onboard: 42-Foot Custom Built "Game Fisher". 30-Foot SeeVee for a quick afternoon fishing trip. 22-Foot Novurania Equator with a meager 800 horsepower. (2) 18-Foot Hewes Bonerfishers and 13-Foot Narwhal Rescue Boat and (4) Yamaha Waverunners.
