Most of the american publics feels that americans are supose to only buy american. But why don't people complain when american companies go to other countries and sell more then that countrys own companies....

why must you call it a rice bunner how about I call your truck a honkey tonky truck

Im in the mood to start something for some reason just ignore me.

Well, don't get me started...

But OK, let's start with the "China" made USA flags. How much did they cost the Speedway? Probably $.25-.50. How much did they cost the company to produce? Probably $.15 or so.. (that would be produced in China)

What would that same flag cost to produce in the US... Hmmmm let's see, what is minimum wage, oh at least $3.00-4.00/hr, plus union wages, hmmmm double that, plus benefits and 401K and Oh my, that little ol' flag cost at least $1.00 to produce.

Meanwhile, the same worker could be shifting to another, more profitable industy, say a sevice industy or high-tech, and be earning twice that.

Meanwhile his company is tanking because they can't afford to keep up... Hmm loss of MASS amounts of jobs..

But oh no, let's have high skilled laborors doing lesser tasks at high wages so we can put the Chinese company out of business .

It makes no sense.....

i dont give a damn....and let me lable myself as a hardcore country boy (better know down south as a redneck......)

:D I drive a truck. A Chevy truck to be precise. But a lot of the parts of my chevy treck was ship in from other countrys.

My sister has a 1998 Tauras S.H.O.. Blew up with 83, 000 on the odometer. She asked how much a new V-8 would be. The guy said they would have to order it from JAPAN because it was a Yamaha v-8.
Ordering price was only $12,000. if they could find one.
Look under the hoods of your cars. There is almost nothing made in America.

And by the same token, my Mazda 4X4 has a recall sticker from Ford on the radiator shroud.

What is really sad is that so many products with "Made in America" tags are manufactured in sweatshops in American Territories like Guam or Saipan at less than minimum wage.
Also, HUGE companies in the US farm out work to underdeveloped countries but don't publicly admit it.
Made in the USA today really means little, unless YOU quilted, knited, crecheted or sewed it yourself and even then the yarn or cloth or thread may have been made elsewhere.

That we have laws in the US prohibiting the use of semi-slave labor while encouraging it's practice in other countries is simply another indication of just how greedy the American public is.

Kinda like saying I am not a racist but don't you dare come close to my daughter.

It is a shame that God didn't make our eyes so that we could look inside as well as out.Maybe people would look at each other a bit as being the same.

I had a foreign car once, it was my first new car and it was a lemon, since then i have been buying american cars.........but I hear that toyota makes really good cars, so who knows, maybe I will make the change someday.........

I dont mind people just buying american cutie pie I just think its stupid for people to complain about forieners makeing money over here when our companys go to other countrys to make money, and they have no complaints about that.

I know what you mean smack...and so true.........:)

Getting a little off subject here, but the other day I picked up a U.S. Army keychain and thought that it was pretty funny that there was a sticker on it that said "made in china" O well, even America wants to save money, I guess China makes it cheaper than we can...

big deal so what who cares.......if i was prez i would ban the chep POS orther countrys make (not nameing any names dont want to piss someone off) i am not saying all countrys ban just a few.

If you want to ban the POS stuff that other countrys make then its gonna take a few more than 3. So many countrys, so many sweatshops, and so many low wages in order to make a simple keychain just a little cheaper than we can. If you just banned a few then there would be plenty of other little children ready to make you a keychain too.

I think the thing you all need to remember is 99% of all auto industry is owned one way or another by American auto industry.

If thats not enough all auto industry use American inovation's.
Japan and the like are the best copy cats around and not just in the auto industry.

actually acording to alot of quality test done by american companys 2 japanese auto companies lead the list in the auto industry for haveing the most dependable quality cars.
