Good job for the Hendrick boys..hope Casey comes on through. :)

How bout that, four Toyos made the field...one more for DJ and the past champ prov. And Michael said that Atlanta was a track that was good for him.

So here's a question... is there any longterm benefit for Michael in missing this many races and ultimately practicing a little "horse medicine" on his season?

I was just wondering if it was kinda like missing the Chase for Tony... Now they can focus on being aggressive with qualifying, making the car faster etc.

...sometimes a narrower goal is helpful.

They've been testing at Kentucky and Rockingham with their aero package. I would hope that his contract with NAPA was solid or he could end up losing it to another team. NAPA is a prime sponsor and would be welcome just about any place.

And i bet you a buck..(ohh just remembered your nick starts with buck lol)

Anyhow i bet you that NAPA is just about ready to look elsewhere..i know i would.

Of course, that all depends on the contract. But contracts can be bought out, but I wouldn't think that Mikey would be willing to sell. He needs that sponsor. And yes, I'd bet a buck or two as well that NAPA is rethinking their strategy.

yea, you have to wonder when mikey's phones will start..er stop ringing.

I say dump all provisionals and let them qualify themselves.

Well, I guess like Sammy says on the commercials, you can ride in 55...of course, it may only go that fast as well, but hey, you're still ridin' with Mikey...right? Guys? Where'd you all go?

But seriously, "To finish first, you must first finish" might not be enough, the strategy needs to be "To finish first, you must first start the race."
