An all SEC BCS National Championship game?

ROLL TIDE for all you Haters!!!

While I think the BCS is very flawed, it is supposed to put the 2 best teams in the country together for a Championship showdown. Even though Bama lost to number 1 LSU, show me another team in the country who went toe to toe with LSU and it took overtime to decide it. I think LSU is the unanimous number 1 beating several ranked teams including 2 top 5, but show me another team who is better than Bama for the number 2 slot. Their schedule was not great, but they did what good teams are supposed to do to inferior oppenents...blow them out. If these two teams were not in the same division of the same conference, there would be no debate whether they should be awarded a rematch.

ROLL TIDE ROLL! SEC RULES!

I just hope that the BS, er...BCS championship game is a hell of a lot better game than the last LSU-Bama game was.

Until they get around to implementing a playoff system in college football, there will rarely, if ever, be an undisputed champion.

There are several teams with the same record as Alabama, teams that will actually win their conference championship. That's not Alabama hate, that's football fact.

I agree to a point.
So, Oklahoma State is a one loss team with NO conf. championship, should they go?
For YEARS, SEC faced teams like Ohio State(NO champ game until this year), Oregon(NO champ game till this year) who plays a break even UCLA this year. 2 loss team facing a 6-6 team, that win should catupult anyone into the NAT CHAMP game.:sarcasm:

What about Oklahoma which lost it's conf champ game and still made it to National Championship. Conf championship not a valid argument in this case. Still my point, Bama is the # 2 team in the polls, and the second best team in the nation, and they deserve a spot in National Title game.

I really want to rid CFB of the BCS in favor of a playoff, but it is what it is until then. Then it will be a crapshoot, any given Saturday rules will apply.

ROLL DAMN TIDE!!!

Since Tech will probably win the ACC, I'd like to see them in the SEC title game, or at least against Alabama. But the BS won't do that because they know Tech would get handed by an SEC team.

Oklahoma State, Oregon and Michigan would also be good picks. But the BS wouldn't want to see Michigan get handed by the SEC either.

At this point, either of the teams mentioned WILL get it handed to them by a LSU or Bama team, so why not a rematch of a classic regular season game by two equally strong teams??

If Oklahoma State continues to be a one loss team, they will have won their conference. Bedlam series next week will decide the Big12 championship (OU vs. OSU). If OU wins, they win the conference title and will have two losses and won't make it to the BCS title game. But, if OSU wins, and wins big, they could jump over Alabama. It will probably come down to that one game. But even if OSU wins, they might not jump Alabama. It'll be up to the computers.

The Vols lost to freaking Kentucky for the first time in my life:mad:

Wish they were as good as the other SEC teams.

Classic? Are you talking about that yawnfest from a month ago?

You don't know good football. That was a classic slugfest between the two best teams in the Nation going to overtime. Offense is sexy, defense wins championships! 5 soon to be 6 in a row for the SEC.

Its all about the yankee collegiate football conference, unfortunately UVM lost in the championship game:(

I can't speak for him, but I've been watching football for about 40 years or so and that game was really ugly. Yes, there was some very good defense played. But there was also some horrible offense played. There were many people running around open on replays and the quarterback couldn't make the throw or, on several occasions, didn't even see the guy. And it wasn't always because he was under pressure either.
