If your favorite team finally won a world championship, would you care if it's best player tested positive for steroids?

no, as long as its just one player. It takes more than one player to win a championship at any sport, and chances are that one player didn't win the championship by himself. Unless your favorite player was Michael Jordan and he won championships by himself.

I personally don't think it would be a big deal. There are so many players doing steroids now that aren't even detected, I think it is foolish to think many are not "juiced".

Besides there are a lot of lines drawn between Andro, Creatine, Ripped Fuel and other legal susbstances and illegal ones.

Steroids come in many "flavors". That includes prescription meds and even OTC things. Ever get a Cortisone shot? Take Prednisone? Have a Thyroid problem?

No, I really care only if 1 player was involved.

That's why they should test them before season starts and before any playoffs. If a player tested pos before the playoffs he should be suspended. Players donn't care if they are caught, b/c nothing will happen to them. They will just get their name in a few more papers. That's all they care about anyway.
Until someone is banned it will continue.

I think it cheapens the accomplishment. Bonds' home run record will mean less to me than the seasons other players had who did not tank up.

If a substance is banned, and a player gets caught using it, he ought to go sit with Pete Rose as far as I'm concerned. Toss enough people out for it, and most won't risk using it.

I know that if I show up for work tomorrow under the influence of something I ain't supposed to be using, I'm out of a job. Why are these people any different? A few zeros at the end of an earnings statement does not justify this behavior.
