Just added to the package for Daytona. What will this do?

I really don't get it.

The way I understand it, the back bumper was extended closer to the ground, so that when another car came up close it allowed less air into the radiator opening, thus causing faster overheating. I think. LOL

Thats what I heard them say on Friday. TV people that is.
 
It was intended to block air to the grill of a pushing car, but it's also caused more drag in the cars and slowed them down a touch. Some of the drivers said it's made the cars feel very edgy on entry and transition, the cars could use a bit more rear grip.
