In defense of this site and the ones like you gave us the link to, I will say that it's GREAT that people are banned. Nothing worse than people being allowed to run amock/amuck (one of 'em is right). There's plenty of chat rooms, and message boards where people get to say whatever they want without any repercussions at all. Those places are full of name calling, offensive immature behavior that makes going there intolerable.

Paul, the only people who think YOU are bad are the banned ones who trash you on other forums.

This is the BEST forum I've found and I give it 10:)

So far this is the graetest site, or at least tied with rubnrace. I started out at TR and loved it. Then after about 6 months after I arrived the trash talking kept getting worse.
Then the mad poster showed up posting the same thread about 50 times in a row.
Since then I just can't seem to get motivated to visit any forums.
But I am starting to visit this one and RnR a lot more.
So thank you Paul for a great site.
 
I would say one of the reasons why you haven't had to ban anybody Paul is because all of the people are so nice here. Sure there is a disagreement here and there, but nobody on these forums attacks other members.

Well, the list shows only a handfull, but who knows where else Paul has bodies hidden :)
 
I'm a TR refugee since about June and in the time I've been here I think I've seen maybe 5 people shown the door........and I'm pretty sure at least 2 of those 5 were people who talked Paul into lifting their bans. So, what is that? About three? Doesn't look to me like people get tossed off this forum much at all. Actually, I'm sure some here remember a month or so ago I tried to get Paul to ban me (I was P.O.'d about something....forgot what it was) and the turkey wouldn't do it!!:D Says a lot about him and the forum!:)

Pretty damned good site. We can argue and even get mad at each other and still come back the next day. Well maintained with a good balance of discipline for all. We all have our bad days and get out of line.....and we are not tossed out for it.:D
 
So true, DEW. This is the best place I have found for some good adult discussion. I have left many other sites due to the language, personal attacks and just plain garbage that goes on.
 
This is my first racing forum. From what I've heard from everyone else, seems like I'm lucky to have happend across this one as opposed to one of the others. I haven't even gone to check them out myself. I'll take ya'lls word for it. I don't have to go see it for myself. To me they sound like aol chat rooms which are annoying as heck!!

Paul, just out of curiosity.... Do you know how many people have been banned from here ? Out of sheer boredom I was browsing through the member list and I came up with 5.
 
That sure seems to be an excessive amount of people banned, but I have no doubt that they likely deserved it.

I used to use the TR forums, and thought they were pretty good. Then one day, I got a tip from another member to check out this site - ironically, from someone who's been now banned for quite some time (Jermer#8, if it be known - but he probably deserved it). It took me about 5 minutes to see the clear superiority of www.racing-forums.com. Muchas gracias, Paul, for running such a great site and fostering such a good community.:calpping: :thumbsup: :beerchug:
 
Oh, and when I looked at the "forum leaders" section, I counted 8 people that are currently banned - including the infamous beedie and flyboy.
