That's Racin'
Bob Osborne, a lead engineer over Roush Racing's Nextel Cup programs, has been named the new crew chief for Jeff Burton and his No. 99 Fords, effective immediately, Roush officials confirmed Wednesday afternoon.
Osborne replaces Paul Andrews, who has served in that position since the fall race at Richmond, Va., in 2002.
Andrews has accumulated 12 total Cup victories, but none with Burton. Burton's last win came in October 2001 at Phoenix.
Through four races this season, Burton is 30th in points and his best finish is 13th at Las Vegas.
Burton's team is currently running without a full-time sponsor.
