Yes I'm jumping the gun but just wanted to see what the local shelters have up for adoption. Man there's tons of cats out there! I checked several shelters and saw that, fill in the blank with
a: a lot
b: many
c: most
Use whichever you prefer but _________of the dogs up for adoption are pits, or have enough pit mixed in that it's obvious from the skull structure. I know a poodle or ****er spaniel can bite too but it's always the pits that make the headlines. Yes I am against them. I would not feel comfortable getting a pit/pit mixed for my grandsons.
Secondly, adoption costs from $220 to $500, more if brought in from out of the area. Also saw a warning that many dogs come from puppy mills in the South. More so now after Florence and Mike. I dunno.
I've had dogs that came with papers so maybe with the cost of adoption a breeder may be an option, BTW AKC papers not newspapers. Found a few Siberian breeders in New England and fell in love with the breed again.
Maybe Santa might have one in his sack for the boys..
What's not to love?
