Annett to Cup with TBR; TBR to get RCR equipment

Woah. Did not see this one coming. Good for everyone involved though, Annett goes to cup, RPM has room to run Truex or LaGoie in NW full time. Just not quite sure Annett is ready though.
Also Burton is rumored to be driving the 36.

  • Annett to Tommy Baldwin Racing in 2014, run for Rookie of the Year: Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) has signed driver Michael Annett and partnered with Pilot Flying J for the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season. Annett, whose NASCAR career began at Bill Davis Racing under the tutelage of Baldwin, reunites with his mentor after five seasons of competing in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Baldwin will continue as the #7 team's crew chief next season. TBR will field a fleet of Richard Childress Racing cars and utilize Earnhardt-Childress Racing engines. Since we went Cup racing about five years ago, we've grown and gotten better with each passing season. Doesn't Annett have a family connection with Pilot Flying J? I think he's actually a decent driver, I was expecting him to have a breakout year in 2013 but that wreck at Daytona really set him back, I think he missed 2 months.

Also, I believe TBR already used RCR equipment but I could be wrong about that. Happy to see some new blood moving up though, and if Annett can finish in the top 30 he'll be doing well for himself and TBR
 
I thought TBR used Hendrick equipment. Annett was awesome in the ARCA series but since leaving that, he hasn't really impressed me a whole lot...

Pretty sure its just a long time relationship with em kinda like McClure and Hefty but I could be wrong.
