Another Enzo Ferrari has died. This time it was in Okayama, Japan. The cause of the crash was light rain, which dispite the car having traction control, caused the driver to spinout and hit the guardrail.

This brings the total number of wrecked Enzos to 15 of the original 400 that were produced between 2002 and 2004. If you own one of the survivors, the value of yours just got a big boost.

I don't care what kind of car you have, light rain is the absolute worst driving condition.

And I never understood the reasoning behind having a car that could beaucoup miles an hour when the speed limit isn't unlimited.

But then, I'm not male. hehehe

But then it depends on where you are. I remember being on I20 when I was going from El Paso to NC to see my grandmother and I had my 62 Nova wound all the way and I was still getting passed. That was 30+ years ago so things may have changed now.

Oh, yeah, bp --- today, if you're just doing 80, you'd best be in the right-hand lane. Otherwise you'll be run over by little old ladies in red tennis shoes. :D

Me too. It's kind of like having a 36-hour clock.

If I had a car like that I sure as hell wouldn't take it out of public roads. That's just asking for trouble. If I could afford an Enzo, I could afford to take it to a closed club track where:

#1 - There's no traffic or red lights
#2 - It's a lot more fun to drive than main street
#3 - My insurance isn't void if the car is damaged

Sounds to me like this idiot just wanted to show off to a buddy, or a chick. Then he gets pwned by a guardrail and ends up looking as dumb as the SLR Guy:

I agree with what you said but that car isn't meant to be a trailer or garage queen. They only sold the Enzo to previous select Ferrari owners who had their cars serviced, meaning they were driven.

But hey, if you can afford one you can afford two:beerbang:

Just for the 5 miles I'm on the I-20 twice a day, The speed limit is 65.. I have to go 5 over...and on top of that, my speedometer is 10% slow. And I still get passed by 18 wheelers.... my actuall speed is closer to 77 MPH!

True, but I still wouldn't take a car like that out for a spin on any given street. Especially in the rain.

I wouldn't keep it in a garage, but rather take it out where that type of horse was ment to run: on the track.

After all, the Enzo Ferrari is a basically a street-legal version of their F1 cars.
