Mrs. Johnson is due in early September. Jimmie says he will not miss the birth of his child so a backup driver will be used. Obviously they could do the mid race switch but what if they're at Chicagoland and she goes into labor and hour before the race? Does he take off then or start the race for points? Wasn't Dale Jr. very sick once and they changed drivers at the first pitstop?
