MADISON, Wis. -- Culver's announced on Thursday that the company is making the move into NASCAR.
With a special appearance at one of the company's drive-up windows, Craig Culver, the restaurant chain's president and co-founder, unveiled the company's sponsorship of the No. 56 car and its driver Frank Kreyer, a Poynette native, WISC-TV reported.
Kreyer will drive for Culver's in two Crafstman Truck Series races as well as four Busch Series races.
Culver said that that NASCAR and butter burgers are a perfect fit.
"There's a lot of race fans out there from what I'm told," he said. "I know I've got a lot of them in my office. One of them is right back there, for a matter of fact. She knows every car, every number, ever person. There's a lot of people like that in the United States. I'm hoping a lot of those people like butter burgers as well."
