MOSCOW, Ohio – An Ohio man says he bulldozed his $350,000 home to keep a bank from foreclosing on it.

Terry Hoskins says he has struggled with the RiverHills Bank over his home in Moscow for years and had problems with the Internal Revenue Service. He says the IRS placed liens on his carpet store and commercial property and the bank claimed his house as collateral.

Hoskins says he owes $160,000 on the house. He says he spent a lot of money on attorneys and finally had enough. About two weeks ago he bulldozed the home 25 miles southeast of Cincinnati.

Messages were left for the bank and its attorney.

IRS spokeswoman Jodie Reynolds said individual taxpayer information is private and federal law prevents her from commenting.

Having survived 2 IRS audits I can see where a person can go "off the deep end". They are relentless. In both cases I prevailed but it cost me a lot of money to be represented by my CPA and a tax attorney.

Even IRS employees don't understand the tax code, ask 2 IRS employees a tax question and your likely to get 2 different answers. If you follow their advice and it's wrong you're still liable.

There's got to be a better system but what it is I don't know.

I'm not sure if this is the right way to go or not, but it is funny. I can also understand the frustration in dealing with a government agency. I've been disabled for over 2 years now and I am still fighting to get SSI disability. There is no way someone could spend more than a few minutes with me and decide that there is any way I could hold down a job with my physical problems. And yet, my family is struggling badly because it is SSI's job to drag the process out until you either give up and do whatever job you might be able to do regardless of the further damage you do to yourself or you just give up and kill yourself.

I feel your pain BO.I had to fight that for 3 1/2 years. All along with doctors saying I can't believe they keep denying you.I heard of people going in and just saying they were depressed and they get it on the first time applying. My heart is only working 20% and have no use of my right eye and I had to wait for 3 1/2 years.I'm glad I had family to help me cause without that I'd be in a box somewhere right now.

Well how about this...the widow of the IRS employee that was killed in Dallas is suing the wife of the pilot who killed him. She says the wife should have warned everyone.
