Hey lappy, a few weeks ago you went hunting.......the score when you returned was: Tree Rats 1 and Lappy 0.:D

You still skunked?:D

I fish more than I hunt. I only hunt something I will eat, which leaves only frogs. I am way overdue a mess of frog legs.

Better hurry TWF.........frogs get a little scarce when it gets cold!:)

Way too late to do any gigging this year. I'll just have to get some from this restaurant here that serves them. Nothing like home cooked though. Give me a plate of frog legs, some hash brown taters, a scoop or three of cut cream corn, a skillet of cornbread, and get out of my way.

I'm not a purse junkie, but I hunt for just about everything else!

Right now, I'm hunting for heavy duty, extra long shower curtains. Found them, too. Bed, Bath & Beyond. Between that, the liner, the hooks, and a couple of under the bed vinyl storage chests, I'm in for more than $100.

As for real hunting, I've been a handful of times, but not since around 1998. Deer hunting once (sat in a tree stand in the snow at 5 a.m., saw nothing) and turkey hunting twice (more like a jovial jaunt with a few shots of Wild Turkey). Not real hunting, but guns were involved. Wrote an essay about the deer hunting experience that no one would publish. I found it amusing...

No more, but used to hunt tree rats and groundhogs...........
NOT for food, just vermin.

I still fish (Is that "hunting"???).

Anyone been ledge fishing, now that takes a real man or woman to do that!

But, it's probably irrelevant to everyone here.

Plus, I can't seem to find it right now.

Not unless you are fishing for Stripers in fresh water!:D

SKIPJACKS/Bluefish/swordfish/marlin/for salt water

Crappie, Stripers and catfish in fresh

Once or twice, a skate took the bait, dove to the bottom and hugged the mud....tough little suckers to reel in but good eating!

Then you are hunting........most of those suckers are hard to find!:)

I used to really enjoy hunting, but haven't done much for several years as my kids have started growing up. In a few years my son will be old enough to go with me. I'm sure to regain my focus then. I used to hunt deer, grouse, rabbit, etc., but my favorite things to hunt have always been squirrel and groundhog. No pressure to succeed there. A bad day of squirrel huntin' is still a day spent running around the woods with a gun.:D

I don't get to hunt near as much as I'd like but when I was still living in West TN we'd go hunting all the time. Duck, deer and dove were pretty much all we hunted. That and split tails of course.;) My favorite was always dove or quail hunting. There is a lot more action than the others and you don't have to freeze your ass off at the wee hours of the morning to get a kill.:2gunsfiri

Hunter for life.

It flies it dies is they way I say :)

Ducks primary, Geese, Doves, Teal, Pheasant, Quail. The sport if it is so great. All things that have to happen in order to get a shot, its an awsome thrill when those whistling wings come over :D Live for it ever fall, prepare and practice the rest of the year. Just got a new boat for this season, which by the way starts the 24th :D

Same for Fly Fishing, been to the ends of the US fly-fishing. Alaska for trout and salmon, Flordia and Texas for redfish :D
