I finally broke down and bought a PS3 for my kids. I bought the Move Bundle and a couple of extra controllers. So basically they will have two DualShock 3 Wireless controllers. They will also have two Move Motion controllers, and two Move Navigation controllers. So there are six controllers that need to be charged and that is my question. How do they charge all of these things? Is there a way that they can be charged with whatever is already supplied in the box or do I now have to go out and get some kind of docking station to charge them? I want this to be ready for them to have fun right away. If I absolutely have to go out and buy more for this to happen, I will. I know when I bought them the XBOX 360 the controllers were able to be charged off of the USB ports. Is this the same for the PS3 line of controllers. I appreciate your help with this.

It charges off the USB ports for the dual shock ones but I'm not sure about the move ones.My son doesn't have those.

Should have just stuck with the 360;)

I've just never been a fan of the play station I started with a Nintendo 64 then moved to Xbox country.

I don't have any of the current systems (except the DS) and i don't keep up with them well, but doesn't a huge percentage of the 360s die or get the red ring of death? I have all of the old systems and they all work fine(pretty much all major systems from Atari to Xbox1) , doesnt sound like a 360 would last too long after microsoft quits supporting it. Hopefully you resell your games soon, doubt there would be much of a resale market for the games after there are no functioning systems to play them on.

I don't think its a major problem anymore, plus I never sell my games I hang on to them its more fun to have your old games around then sell them for 10 cents

I dont sell my stuff too, but i just figure with the 360 when all the systems are dead after microsoft quits supporting it there wont be much point to the games. I dont know how bad the problem really is, but i've heard about it and i have 3 friends that said they had to send their to microsoft to get fixed.

I'd like to have a PS3 but I just can't force myself to shell out $300 for one. I guess it's all good though, i'm a little old for video games anyway lol

We've had to send ours for repair as well. It was at no cost to us so it was no big deal. They did have a design flaw in the early versions of the XBOX 360 that was addressed. Design flaws are not limited to the XBOX though. Browse through Sony's PS3 forum and you'll see post after post of people that are having issues with the Play Station as well. As far as Microsoft stopping support on the XBOX 360. That sure as heck isn't going to happen any time soon. That unit is a cash cow for Microsoft.

They wont drop support soon, but it will happen. People still buy old Atari, Nintendo and Sega stuff 25+ years later, Probably wont be many 360s alive 5 years after the system is no longer supported.

Psst...Micro$oft is saying they'll support the 360 until they officially roll out the 720 about 5 years from now...

They supported the original Xbox for awhile after the 360 came out. I must be missing your point no company supports the old system after a new one comes out, how many N64 games came out after the Gamecube, how many of those after the Wii. If anything Microsoft supports them more.

The big difference is i've never heard of a N64 that died. I've heard a lot about 360s dying. So, after they quit fixing them, your 360 is worth $0 the day it dies.

Unless you have the cajones to fix it yourself. Its only a computer, after all. ;)

Why would MS stop supporting XBOX 360? Makes no sense, and first I've heard of that. We will be getting the new 360 with the Kinect, along with a Panasonic 50" plasma after the first of the year. Going to look for a deal, the TV is already down to $750, but i think it might drop another $100 by early March.

I fixed mine myself, wasn't that big of a deal. In fact i have 2 old Xbox first generation machines and they work just fine.
