Anybody here ever been to Dover Downs?

I am bidding (ebay) on a couple tickets to the Cup race at Dover Downs next weekend. I've never been there before, but it sounds like a good time. Anybody ever been there? It is just about as far from my house as Martinsville is and I've never had a problem with that trek before.

I am either going to take my son or my friend I always go to Martinsville with if I go. Any thoughts on the place?
 
I like the track. I prefer sitting right at the entrance to turn 1 about half way up or more. It has been a few years though. We used to park on the end of the track near turn 3 and 4. On the way out you could cut across a field to the shopping mall next door and out you go. Jimmy Means showed me that short cut!
 
Its a great track to go see a race at. I went to the spring truck race this year and I have been to a few cup races there in the past few years and you can see the whole track from almost any seat at the track. The only bad part about the track is the horrible traffic getting in and out since there is only one real way to get in and out of the parking area and on to the main road.

I agree the traffic is terrible but I guess the traffic is bad at all tracks. We sat on turn 3 and had a good view of the racing. all seats are pretty good though.
 
Hope you get the tix, 4x. Dover is wild. Hope to make the trek back in the future.

The way the cars just drop off into the corners take your breath away.
 
Dover Raceway is a nice track, season ticket holder their for Turns 1-2 in the Triple Section along with Pits and Sky Box.. youll get your money worth if you go... Traffic sucks when you get out becuase Dover PD doesnt know Traffic Control... If ya get them see ya down their..
